Electronic Arts announced today that NBA Street v3 is in development at EA Canada, previously known for the NBA Live and NCAA March Madness series.

Featuring NBA legends, today's top stars, and original characters from past editions, NBA Street v3 expands on the customization, variety of game modes and gameplay from previous NBA Street titles.

Customize your baller, build courts from the ground up, throw one down in an all-new dunk contest and go online to put your reputation to the test. In NBA Street v3, you can build your reputation as you create the future of street basketball with all-new moves in environments such as "The Cage" and "Rucker Park" to places like "Venice Beach."

"NBA Street v3 is a celebration of the culture and inventive style of street basketball," says Wil Mozell, senior producer for the project. "We're excited to continue to push the possibilities of customization, self-expression, and creativity in the new school revolution of hoops."
NBA Street v3 is slated to ship on the PS2, Xbox, and GameCube in early 2005.
